From the first download to the inspection dossier
TachoGest covers the whole life of digital tachograph data: collection, archiving, checking and documentation.
Downloads without surprises
The driver card is read by any USB smart card reader; vehicle unit files come from the download key or from a folder. TachoGest recognises the type of file and assigns it to the right driver or vehicle.
- First generation, second generation and second generation version 2 tachographs (Smart Tachograph)
- Drag and drop .DDD, .V1B, .C1B and similar files
- Original files are kept intact, digital signatures included
- A log of every download performed

A file for every driver
Summary, personal details, legal position, day-by-day activities, downloads and findings. The yearly view shows month by month how many days are covered by downloads and where the gaps are.
- Daily timeline with driving, other work, availability and rest
- Days not covered are highlighted
- Driving licence, driver CPC and medical examination with their expiry dates

Infringements explained, not just listed
The rules engine checks breaks, daily, weekly and fortnightly driving, daily and weekly rest periods with their compensation, working time and driving without a card. Every finding states the day, the measured value and the limit.
- Classified as minor, serious or very serious
- Penalty points over the last 12 months, per driver and per vehicle
- A warning letter to the driver, ready to print

Who can still drive, and for how long
The Availability page works out, for each driver, the rest period under way, the driving time left today, this week and over two weeks, and working time against the permitted average.
- Takes the extension to 10 hours into account when still available
- Flags anyone with less than an hour of driving left
- Calculated on the most recent data downloaded

Reminders that don't get lost
A single list for everything that falls due: card and vehicle unit downloads, driver cards, driving licences, driver CPC, medical examinations, roadworthiness tests, tachograph calibrations and vehicle insurance.
- Overdue, due soon and in order, at a glance
- Download limits in days, configurable
- Printable schedule of due dates

The documents for an inspection
The weekly record under art. 16 OLR 1 sets out, for each week, activities, rest periods, working time and the checks with what is left. The inspection dossier gathers summary, due dates, download log and a section for every driver and vehicle into a single PDF.
- Activity, infringement, due date and download reports in PDF and Excel
- Attestation of activities, conflicts and gaps, licence check
- «Page n of N» numbering and space for signatures

Data kept safe
Backups run on their own at the interval you choose and go to a separate folder, on the network if you like. Every copy is verified and the backup log is shared across all workstations.
- Daily, weekly, monthly or half-yearly
- You choose how many copies to keep
- Database, downloaded files and settings in a single archive
