Frequently asked questions
How does the trial work?
You download the program and choose the trial the first time you start it: 30 days with every feature, on your PC and with your own data. At the end you simply enter the licence key and your data stays where it is.
What counts as a workstation?
A PC on which TachoGest is activated. If you change computer, you release the slot from the program and activate it on the new one.
Can several PCs work on the same data?
Yes. The archive can sit on a shared network folder: every workstation sees the same drivers, vehicles and downloads.
What happens if the PC has no internet connection?
The licence stays valid for 45 days offline. For PCs that are always offline we provide a file-based licence.
Do I need a particular card reader?
Any PC/SC compatible USB smart card reader will do. If you haven't got one, we supply one already tested.
Can I use it for transport within the EU as well?
Yes: in the settings you switch from the OLR 1 profile to the Regulation (EC) 561/2006 one.
